Rise Together-Frequently Asked Questions
Healing-rooted leadership for women of the global majority. A sacred return to power, presence, and ancestral truth.
Rise Together – Frequently Asked Questions
What is Rise Together?
Rise Together is a 10-week, healing-rooted leadership cohort for women and femmes of the global majority — including Indigenous, Black, Brown, multiracial, mixed-race, undocumented, disabled, and other historically marginalized identities.
It’s a space where we unlearn extractive leadership, reclaim ancestral practices, and rise in community — without needing to perform strength or carry everything alone.
Is this a live program or self-paced?
This is a live, relational space — not a course you consume later.
We gather weekly in sacred circle. Your presence is central to the experience. If you miss a session, we offer written reflections and prompts to help you stay connected — but we ask all participants to treat showing up as a form of collective care.
Will sessions be recorded?
Sessions are not automatically recorded, to protect the vulnerability and safety of the group.
If any recordings are made (such as facilitator-led portions), they will:
Never include group sharing
Only be created with group-wide consent
Be shared respectfully and selectively
Is this a religious program?
No. Rise Together is not a religious space — it is a spiritually grounded, culturally sovereign space.
Participants are invited to bring their own spiritual practices, ancestral rituals, and cultural truths. We do not teach or impose any doctrine. We share across difference with reverence, not appropriation.
We don’t co-opt. We don’t compare. We honor.
Can white women participate?
White women are not excluded, but they are not centered.
We ask white-identifying participants to:
Complete a short pre-participation interview
Begin in a separate white cohort, created to support deep unlearning and racial accountability
Understand that entry into the mixed cohort may be by invitation only, to protect the integrity and safety of the global majority space
This is not separation — it’s responsibility.
How much does it cost?
The full value of the program is $2,500. This covers:
10 live sessions
A decolonial leadership framework
Written materials, resources, and guided practices
Community-based facilitation with deep care
We offer a reciprocity-based pricing structure so no one is turned away:
$2,500 – Full contribution (preference is you pay this through our Go Fund Me)
$1,000 / $750 / $500 – Partial contributions ( yes, you can make those contributions via GoFundMe and give it momentum and participate)
Pay-What-You-Can (our name for this is Equity-Exchange, click here for more details)
Your honest self-assessment is all we ask.
I want to sponsor someone. Can I do that?
Yes, please.
Sponsorships help us offer full or partial access to those who would otherwise be excluded due to systemic economic harm.
You can sponsor a participant directly through our GoFundMe campaign. Every contribution supports healing leadership for women of the global majority.
When does the program start?
The cohort begins Mid-Late June 2025.
Sessions are held weekly, and we’ll share scheduling options for optimal time zone access.
What if I have accessibility or learning needs?
We welcome access requests. Whether it’s time zone flexibility, captioning, pacing needs, or trauma-informed considerations — we want to hold you well.
You’ll be able to name your access needs in the participant intake form.
